A little history
Our naturopathically formulated recipe is adapted from the traditional "Four Thieves Vinegar" which, so the story goes, was used during the Great Plague by grave robbers to protect themselves from the disease. Upon their capture, they traded the recipe for their freedom, and it was written on the wall of the town hall of Marseille for everyone to see. Since then there have been many variations over the centuries. The term Fire Cider was coined by American herbalist Rosemary Gladstar in the 1970s. Also known as Fire Tonic, it has become a rich tradition in Western Herbal medicine and is considered a functional food.
Just to be clear. This traditional food and the information alongside it is not intended to be used to cure or prevent any disease, or ever as a substitute for prescribed medicines or treatment.
