It is spiky as you would expect, and not that comfortable when you first start, but I did fall asleep using it the VERY FIRST time.

Low key life changing. At first it was unbearable. Definitely recommend laying it on the bed instead of the floor. But after some getting used to, it is such a major tension melter! I’ve even fallen asleep on it multiple times.
The initial discomfort isn’t unbearable and only lasts for a minute or so. Then the real relaxation begins!
It does hurt in a way that releases endorphins. It does help some with pain, but more interesting I use it for emotional regulation.
